Planting & Care
1. Planting:ย During the winter months, the Dwarf Umbrella enjoys bright light. As for spring and summer, it does well with indirect light and a bit of dappled shade. However, theย Umbrellaย Plantย prefers warm temperatures, so be sure to keep it away from drafty areas.
When you’re repotting or planting your Umbrella, select a container that’s twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes.
You can also plant your Umbrella Tree outside as a landscape shrub in warmer climates – they’re extremely popular for this use in Florida!
2. Watering:ย Water your Schefflera lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. A good rule of thumb to keep in mind: Put your finger in the soil to check its level of moisture. There is no need to waterย your Dwarf Umbrellaย until you have a full inch of dryness starting from the top of the soil.
