Planting & Care
1. Planting: First, select a location for your Italian Cypress with well-drained soil and full sun โ any area with 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day is ideal.
When youโre ready to plant, dig a hole thatโs about one and a half to two times the size of your plantโs root ball, place the Cypress in the hole, back fill the removed soil and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Your Dwarf Italian Cypress is moderately drought tolerant once itโs established, but itโs important to have a regular watering schedule. Water about once weekly or check the surrounding soil near your Dwarf Italian โ if the surrounding soil is dry about 2 or 3 inches down, itโs time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Apply a well-balanced, general purpose fertilizer in early spring, before new growth begins.
